Biography
Dr. Farid Ahmed is an organic chemist with more than six years of postdoctoral and academic experience. He is currently serving as a Research Associate at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), Shenzhen University, P.R. China, and previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Women’s University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Bagh, Pakistan.
His research focuses on functional nanomaterials, carbon dots, lanthanide luminescent systems, supramolecular chemistry, environmental sensing, biomedical diagnostics, bioimaging, and cancer theranostics. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and has extensive experience in research leadership, student mentoring, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
His academic work combines nanomaterial synthesis, photophysical characterization, chemosensing, catalytic remediation, and biomedical applications, with a strong focus on translating advanced organic and nanochemistry into practical solutions for environmental monitoring and precision diagnostics.
